A window view from our bedroom
Though painted this view numerous times now, it still captivates me whenever I pulled up the curtain and see the intense light and color outside.

From 3rd street and Aberdeen Ave
There is an open space of wooded area along the 3rd Street close to Aberdeen Ave where a grove of aspens can be found. It is partially cloudy when I start this quick oil sketch from my car.
Another widow view
Looking out of the window into our backyard . Really enjoy the intense light and color on such a beautiful winter morning.

In the light of a late winter afternoon
It is so cold outside. Does not take long for the oil paint gets almost frozen solid. However, the light of winter afternoon is just so beautiful that I just can not resist the temptation from the nature.
Winter morning before the sunrise
It was still a dreamy winter wonderland outside! It was breathtakingly beautiful outside at 8 a. m when I opened the door and started this quick oil sketch before the sun start to wake from its wintry slumber.

In the last glow
So hard to stop painting even though it was really cold. Another quick oil sketch before my oil paint and brushes got frozen solid.
In the last glow
It is so beautiful to see the trees laced with snow crystals glowing in the late afternoon sun. A quick oil sketch.
In the dazzling sunlight
Nature's rare moment of fleeting beauty when the trees are laced with crystal like snow flakes dazzling in the sun. A quick oil sketch at noon during lunch break.

Winter afternoon from our front yard
It is so exciting to paint outdoor even though my hands are numb with cold! How could anyone not to be excited when nature orchestrates such beautiful light and color in front of your eyes! It is the same kind of awesome wonder and excitement that surges through my heart whenever I catches a glimpse of a bright start twinkling in the night sky. This painting will be my two thousandth one since I started my a painting per day project on November 11, 2003! Can not believe so many years have passed quickly and quietly when deep in my heart core, the same ardent and passionate pursuits for anything beautiful in my life never fade away but burn as bright as ever before.
