After painting at Deep Bay, I drove along Wasagaming Drive and located the cottage its owner wanted me to paint. There were a few couples from Winnipeg staying there for the weekend. I tried to capture the mood of the moment in the afternoon when the cool glimpse of the Clear lake contrasted quite dramatically with the warm view of the trees and the cottage itself.
