A stretch of Assiniboine River in late afternoon sunlight

Drove all the way to Dinsdale Park  after work today to paint at the quiet location. Surrounded with silence and warm air, I did this quick oil sketch before the sun light quickly retreated behind the horizon. The rushing sound of the flow of the river over the broken ice, and the clanking of CN freight cars across the river only added to the tranquility of the scene.
