Far into the fall season, most of the flowers and plants are long past their prime blooming season already. However Ping's pot of geranium is still glowing with its dazzling red color on a corner of our patio. Sitting down in front of my easel I just can not resist the temptation to translate what I see in front of me onto a canvas. May the memory invoked by the light and color never fade! Cheer to myself on my 48th birthday upon stepping into the second half of my life's journey and may God grant me enough energy and passion to continue this visual dialogue between my mortal self and the eternal beauty unveiled in nature's perpetual magic.

My wife's geranium
