Pavilion at Assiniboine Park

Finally I was able to come to Winnipeg to paint my ever first plein air painting. The experience was really a thrill to me. I thought people would quite used to the sight of a lone painter painting on location in a big city like Winnipeg but apparently not quite so. Painting on site still arouses the curiosity of passers-by. Pavilion, a charming blend of Bavarian and Tudor style architecture is quite a landmark of the park.

Hi Weiming
So glad you have ventured out of Brandon area. I wonder if you also went into the Pavilon because inside houses the largest collection of Walter Joseph Phillips, one of the most known historical Plein air artist in Manitoba. I think they are open on weekdays, but I did sneak in during a wedding reception.
Lovely painting.
