Somehow, I tend to listen to more of Rachmaninoff and Chopin at this time of the year. Maybe somehow the mood of the season resonates more the sort of emotions which often find their expressions in the composers' music. The theme from the third movement of Rachmaninof's second Symphony just reverberated in me while I was painting today across the street in the afternoon on Balmoral Bay.
